ACTION 1

NEW YEARS DAY- what better day to begin our  pledge to create hope.

Many of us start off the reflective,  thinking back on their achievements in the past , other are future forward and anticipate new beginnings. I have always believed that the first moments of any occasion set the tone for the remaining. It directs our attitude and guides our opinions, so it makes sense to start off any new venture on a positive and optimistic framework. So the first action that I will be doing today  is to make  set an objective. Something I hope to achieve by  the end of this year. It is really not important to me if I practically achieve this, what is important to me is that I have given myself every possibility and  opportunity  to attain it. My objectives are the goals I have , the aspirations, the ideal. They direct , measure but not control. 

Goal setting is part of a range of other activities which I consider  to be  the housekeeping, the domestics of my life. Activities which may not be exciting, interesting but are essential and necessary because once completed allow to to focus your energy on the interesting activities and possibly more important actions. So if I want to crate hope in the world; I must ensure my own focus and mindset is clear  to do so. Setting my own objectives for the new year helps me focus

Creating hope one action at a time

I want to share with you that it doesn't take someone to be  educated, rich, gifted , talented or to have had struggled in life to be able to contribute to a better future. This  pages have been created  by my daughter and me. My daughter is 14, but has the wisdom of someone twice her age. I have always believed that it is our generation that is responsible for the  decisions that have shaped the world as we see it today. Through the mechanism of education and the medium of  the popular media we have come to believe  and aspire for things that are not of our own choice. Commonly known as the forces of Globalization, it has created immense wealth for  many, but has left behind many people all over the world  unable to share in this prosperity. Almost 80% of  all humanity live in some form of poverty.

 This is unacceptable!   

I am convinced that  if we are not part of the people looking for a  solution, then  we must be in the crowd that created the problem . At the same time, I am optimistic, since we created this problem, we are then capable of  creatively finding solutions.  It is my sincere hope that through changing   attitudes to commerce and redefining  the meaning of success,  we may  reshape  our own destiny. It is my intention that we can create this hope one action at a time through local  people who think on a global  level

The Good Consumer

Someone once told me, that amazing things can be achieved  when ordinary people do  ordinary things with amazing love. Mistakenly  I understood this to mean I had to be an amzing person ...how wrong i have been all these years. After a great many  failures, trials, tribulations , I have finally understood it is all a matter of attitude.
